Frequently Asked Questions

What does the scanner actually show?
The scanner returns price, daily change, volume, relative volume, RSI, EMA status, momentum score, market cap, and a signal strength rating for any searched ticker. Scanner results are live, pulled from our market-data API and refreshed continuously.
Is this financial advice?
No. Gilded Signals is a market research and intelligence tool. All signals are informational only. Always do your own research and consult a qualified financial advisor before making investment decisions.
When does live data go online?
Gilded Signals now shows live market prices, refreshed continuously, for educational research only - not buy/sell recommendations.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No contracts, no commitments. Cancel your subscription at any time.
Do I need enough money to buy a full share?
No. Most brokerages support fractional shares, so you can invest any dollar amount — $50, $20, whatever fits — even in stocks trading at $700+. The price per share is a reference point, not a minimum to get started.

Upcoming events — earnings, product launches, analyst actions — that could move the stock in either direction.

This Week at a Glance

Watching for EntryLoading…
Market Catalyst of the WeekThe most earnings-dense week on the board since June: REalloys reports Monday, USA Rare Earth is expected Tuesday, and Cerebras delivers its first report as a public company Wednesday, with Fervo Energy estimated the same day — four of the top nine picks carry a scheduled or expected report inside this window, stacked on top of an active U.S. critical-minerals policy tape.
These are the stocks I’m personally watching most closely this week based on my research. The buy plan shows where I’m looking to begin or add to my own position if prices cooperate. This is not financial advice — it’s a transparent look at my investing process.

This week splits cleanly into two stories. The first is catalysts: four names carry earnings inside the window — REalloys Monday, USA Rare Earth expected Tuesday, and Cerebras and Fervo Energy Wednesday — and three of them are recent IPOs or micro-caps where a single print can move the stock violently in either direction, so the zones on those are sized for that reality. The second story is the rare-earth and critical-minerals complex, which now claims three of the top six spots (REalloys, USA Rare Earth, MP Materials) on the back of direct U.S. government involvement in the supply chain. The AI-infrastructure core — Marvell, Vertiv, Credo, Corning, Nvidia, Broadcom — remains the backbone of the list, mostly waiting on dips rather than chasing strength. Separately, three positions from last week (Marvell, ASML, AMD) triggered on the August 4 dip and remain open — they carry forward below under their original published levels and are never reset or re-marked to flatter a new week.

How Gilded Signals Works
Buying great companies, not calling exact bottoms
Many of our best long-term investments begin with temporary declines. If the thesis remains intact, lower prices can create better accumulation opportunities — not invalidate the research.

Every pick below is a company I believe is high-quality, paired with the price zone where I’d actually put capital to work. The question this page is built to answer is where I’m looking to buy and why — not whether a stock went straight up the moment this published.

Accumulating — price is inside my zone and I'm buying.
Watching — getting close, nothing triggered yet.
Waiting for Entry — still well above my zone.
Completed — the week closed and this pick was graded.
Thesis Changed — something broke the original reasoning.
Live · Updated Continuously

This Week’s Board, Right Now

Where each pick actually stands — entry zones triggered, still waiting, or off the table this week. This is the same engine that grades the Friday scorecard; nothing here is estimated. Red % reflects movement since that entry price was published, not a loss — several of these are exactly where I’m still buying.

Loading live status…
Buy Zone — the price is currently inside a published entry range. The accompanying action label shows my current posture — whether I’m accumulating, holding, waiting for further downside, adding on weakness, or simply monitoring the setup. These labels describe my personal approach and are not automatic buy recommendations.
Triggered — a published entry zone has been reached. Return shown is measured from that entry, not from today’s price — it does not imply the stock remains a buy at the current level.
Waiting for Entry — no published zone has been reached yet this week.
Breakout Pending / Breakout Triggered — MSTR only. Tracks a confirmed close above a published level, a different mechanic from the dip-entry zones above.
No Setup This Week — no entry was planned this week (earnings risk, unreliable data, etc.) — never a fabricated zone.
Open Positions · Carried From Last Week

Still On The Books

These three triggered their published zones during the week of August 3 and neither reached their target nor hit invalidation by Friday. They stay open under their original published entries, targets, and invalidation levels — never closed early or re-marked to reset the week. Marvell and AMD also appear below as fresh picks with new zones; those are separate setups, graded separately.

Loading open positions…
Marks come from the same engine that graded last week’s scorecard (/api/scorecard-v3?week=2026-08-03) — nothing here is hand-typed. Unrealized until target or invalidation is reached.
Tier 1 · Ranked by Conviction

Primary Picks

A specific this-week trigger — a target hike, a confirmed catalyst, no earnings conflict — not just a good year-long story. The first five are open to everyone. Risk level is a plain read on volatility, not quality — Low moves slowly, High can swing hard in a single session, so size accordingly. Strong Buy is the tier I have the most conviction in right now — setup, catalyst, and risk profile all line up. Buy still means a real, actionable setup, just without every box checked.

📍 My Buy Plan
🟢 First Buy: starting a position in the $213–$220 zone
🟢 Second Buy: adding in the $202–$208 zone if it pulls back further
🟡 If it runs: waiting patiently instead of chasing
📈 Why I like it: First earnings report as a public company lands Wednesday — wafer-scale AI compute with an OpenAI cloud deal behind it, and post-IPO volatility that cuts both ways.
⚠️ Biggest risk: A first-ever public earnings print is binary — a guidance stumble in a richly valued recent IPO can produce a violent single-session move in either direction.
Catalyst: Q2 earnings due Wednesday, August 12 — the first report since the May IPO, with the OpenAI cloud deal ramp the number to watch.

🟡 If it runs: waiting patiently instead of chasing
📈 Why I like it: Earnings Monday plus the strongest rare-earth/magnet policy tailwind on the board — Army partnership momentum in a tiny, high-beta name.
⚠️ Biggest risk: Micro-cap liquidity cuts hard both ways — a disappointing Monday report could gap this straight through the buy zone toward invalidation.
Catalyst: Earnings due Monday, August 10, on top of continuing U.S. Army partnership and domestic magnet supply-chain momentum.

📈 Why I like it: Expected earnings Tuesday inside a U.S. critical-minerals policy wave that keeps producing sector-wide catalysts.
⚠️ Biggest risk: The report date is expected, not confirmed — and pre-revenue critical-minerals names trade almost entirely on sentiment and policy headlines.
Catalyst: Earnings expected Tuesday, August 11 (unconfirmed), inside an active U.S. critical-minerals policy tape.

📈 Why I like it: AI custom-silicon momentum with earnings approaching August 20 — the setup builds all week without the binary risk landing inside this window.
⚠️ Biggest risk: If the AI-networking trade cools ahead of the Aug 20 print, this gives back gains fast — it carried last week's board and expectations are now higher.
Catalyst: Earnings approaching August 20 — outside this window, so this week is about positioning, not the print itself.

📈 Why I like it: Data-center power and cooling demand remains extremely strong, and the name has recovered firmly since the late-July growth scare.
⚠️ Biggest risk: It has already recovered much of the July drop — the easy part of the bounce may be done, and any renewed AI-capex scare hits this name first.
Catalyst: No earnings this week — data-center power/cooling orders and AI-capex headlines are the swing factors.

🟡 If it runs: waiting patiently instead of chasing
📈 Why I like it: Fresh earnings beat, direct U.S. government support, and a magnet production ramp that is actually underway rather than promised.
⚠️ Biggest risk: A crowded policy trade — if rare-earth headlines go quiet, the premium the market pays for the theme can deflate quickly.
Catalyst: Post-earnings follow-through — the beat is fresh, government support is in place, and the magnet ramp updates keep coming.

📈 Why I like it: One of the strongest AI-connectivity momentum names in the market — hyperscaler demand for its links keeps outrunning estimates.
⚠️ Biggest risk: Priced like the momentum never ends — any hyperscaler order-timing wobble produces outsized drawdowns in a name this extended.
Catalyst: No scheduled report — AI-connectivity order flow and hyperscaler capex commentary drive it week to week.

📈 Why I like it: AI fiber demand plus a fresh tariff catalyst and strong analyst support — a slower mover that keeps grinding higher.
⚠️ Biggest risk: The tariff catalyst can reverse as fast as it appeared, and a slow mover means dead money if the AI-fiber narrative stalls.
Catalyst: Fresh tariff catalyst plus AI fiber demand — analyst support built after the last report and has not faded.

📈 Why I like it: The geothermal / data-center electricity theme at much higher beta than the incumbents, with its first public quarter expected Wednesday.
⚠️ Biggest risk: Pre-scale revenue, a possible first public print, and a stock already down sharply from its IPO highs — the highest-beta name on this list.

📈 Why I like it: The AI bellwether, approaching its late-August earnings cycle — positioning tends to build into the print.
⚠️ Biggest risk: China export policy remains an overhang, and high beta means it takes the hardest hit whenever AI-bubble jitters resurface.
Catalyst: No earnings this week (next report August 26). Hyperscaler capex commentary and Blackwell/Rubin ramp headlines are the near-term swing factors.

📈 Why I like it: Custom AI accelerators and networking — it benefits from the same AI capex cycle as Nvidia with a steadier revenue base.
⚠️ Biggest risk: Rich multiple into a quiet news window — it tends to drift with the sector, so a broad AI pullback drags it below the zone.
Catalyst: No scheduled catalyst — moves with the AI-semis complex; custom-accelerator design-win headlines are the wildcard.

📈 Why I like it: Real AI accelerator opportunity, but the near-term setup is not as clean as the top names — this is a buy-the-dip entry, not a chase.
⚠️ Biggest risk: Coming off an earnings-cycle round trip — if the market keeps rotating toward the cleaner AI stories, this stays rangebound.
Catalyst: Post-earnings digestion — the setup is a pullback entry into ongoing Instinct GPU and server-share gains.

Why You Can Trust This Scorecard

Published Before the Move
Every pick goes live in the Sunday briefing before the market moves — nothing is added after the fact.
Entry Zones Locked in Advance
Buy zones and trigger levels are set the moment the brief publishes and never adjusted afterward.
Calculated Automatically
Every result comes from the same grading engine, run against real historical market data — no manual scoring.
Winners and Losers, Both Visible
Every graded week stays in the permanent archive — wins and losses alike, never removed.
Linked to the Source
Every scorecard links directly back to the original weekly briefing that published the picks.
Methodology, Versioned
Grading logic changes are versioned, so every scorecard is graded by the rules that were live at the time.
No Hindsight Edits
Once a week publishes, its picks and entry zones are locked. Nothing is rewritten after the fact.
Buy-on-Weakness, Not Weekly Predictions
Gilded Signals is a disciplined research process for identifying high-quality entry opportunities on pullbacks — not a call on which way a stock moves by Friday. A published Buy Zone that's never reached is a good outcome for the process, not a missed prediction.

First week graded under the new v3 target-and-invalidation methodology — and a textbook lesson in letting price come to you. Monday’s dip was deep enough to trigger exactly three of the fifteen published buy zones: AMD at $470, ASML across both staged tranches, and Marvell at $180. The market then ran all week without looking back — the S&P 500 gained 3.16% — so the other twelve zones never got touched and no capital went to work there. All three positions entered remain open into next week and all three are green, marked at Friday’s close: Marvell +21.46%, ASML +4.13%, AMD +2.82% — an average of +9.47% unrealized. No stops were hit and no first targets have been reached yet. Under v3, open positions carry forward and are tracked to target or invalidation — these returns are marks, not booked results.

About Gilded Signals

Trust is not claimed. It is earned through consistency and transparency.

Markets do not reward hype — they reward discipline. That is why I created Gilded Signals. Every week, I publish what I am watching, why I am watching it, and how those ideas actually performed.

Gilded Signals is an independent market research platform that brings together curated financial news, transparent research, weekly watchlists, and stock and crypto analysis in one refined workspace. My goal is not to make investment decisions for anyone. It is to clearly show my research process, explain the reasoning behind each idea, and help investors make more informed decisions for themselves.

Every Weekly Brief includes my market outlook, the reasoning behind each watchlist, and a public scorecard tracking both winning and losing ideas so readers can evaluate my research over time.

There are no deleted losing picks, cherry-picked results, hindsight edits, or synthetic data presented as real. Good weeks and red weeks are both shown because honest results matter more than perfect-looking results.
